A sturdy base construction for stabilizing the sharpening unit while in use, and is adaptable for use with left or right handed scissors. This sharpener will expose new steel and reshapes the new edge. It will restore scissors to the perfect cutting edge with a smooth sharpening action. NOT for use with specialty scissors including the serrated and razor edge scissors.
