These shears contain high carbon alloy steel, titanium and molybdenum blades for sewing and crafting strength. When hardened, molybdenum steel forms a very durable, tough, and uniform grain structure. This gives “Moly" shears' blades excellent holding characteristics, which prolongs useful life even when used for heavy duty cutting. When heat treated it has excellent properties such as strength, toughness and resistance to wear and fatigue. Titanium Bonded is an application of a unique formulation of titanium to the surface of cutting blades that actually penetrates and treats the metal to create a permanent bond. The Ti-Moly™️ Bonding process provides the following benefits; corrosion resistance, and adhesive resistance and the process itself makes the stainless steel up to 30 times harder than untreated stainless providing a blade that stays sharper longer.
