When fitted to a facepiece, this cartridge and prefilter combination provides protection​ against most organic vapors and a minimum 95% efficiency against non-oil particulate aerosols. This typically includes lacquer and enamel paints, metal fumes from welding, most commercially available pesticides, as well as dust, non-oil mists, and radon daughters. Replace the cartridges and prefilters when breathing becomes uncomfortable, you can smell or taste the contaminant, or you experience nose or throat irritation.
